"Good Morning" is the first single from Memória de Peixe’s upcoming third album, III, set for release in early 2025 via Omnichord Records. Released on September 23, 2024, this single marks a new chapter for the band, as III also represents their transition into a trio, featuring Miguel Nicolau on guitar, Pedro Melo Alves on drums, and Filipe Louro on vocals.
Blending organic and digital elements, Good Morning introduces a sonic identity shaped by harmonized guitar textures that transform the instrument into a hybrid, expressive yet futuristic sound. Lyrically and conceptually, the song explores themes of awakening—both personal and collective—within a world shaped by cyclical crises and the fusion between humanity and technology.
The accompanying music video, inspired by dystopian and Tarkovskian aesthetics, tells the story of a space-time traveler who crash-lands on Earth carrying a mysterious box containing a message of hope. This striking visual narrative has earned Good Morning a nomination for the PLAY – Portuguese Music Awards in the Best Music Video category.
